MWH to roll out Urbanise remote monitoring across 180 offices

Urbanise.com Limited (Urbanise) (ASX:UBN) announced today that it has entered into a Hosted Services Agreement (HSA) with MWH Global (MWH) – one of the largest water engineering companies in the world. MWH offices and projects span 35 countries and six continents.

Under the agreement, MWH will trial the use of Urbanise smart sensors and Asset Monitoring technology to measure and optimise energy consumption in its Sydney and Melbourne offices. Once installed and operational, MWH intends to use their offices as a case study to demonstrate the benefits of the Urbanise Platform and remote monitoring technology to its key clients.

Commenting on the announcement, Michelle Brownlie Senior Energy Specialist, Sustainability & Environment Group at MWH said, “We are very excited about working with Urbanise to transform our own offices into an environmental case study. The Urbanise solution is unique in that it offers an end-to-end wireless asset-monitoring platform that is easy to use and fast to implement. We anticipate that this technology will appeal to many of our global customers when they can see the effectiveness of its energy, water and asset monitoring capability.”

Urbanise CEO Ben Churchill added, “MWH’s commitment to adopting innovative solutions that promote the efficient use of resources is second to none and we are pleased that they have selected the Urbanise Platform to help support their sustainability goals. The Urbanise Platform provides real-time remote monitoring of energy and water consumption – allowing inefficiencies to be identified and addressed. We look forward to working with MWH as they look to reduce their own energy costs as well as those of their clients.”

Urbanise will receive variable platform usage fees (Pay As You Grow) agreements calculated on a monthly basis based on the number of monitoring devices installed. It is anticipated that 8 to 12 smart sensors will be installed in each MWH office.
