This update includes improvements to increase the visibility of the asset warranty status when viewing assets and raising jobs for assets.

Prerequisites

The asset warranty period is applied to the installed/acquired date to calculate the warranty expiry date.

To ensure the asset warranty status and expiry date displays on assets and jobs, the following information must be captured against the asset and asset type.

Asset Type Warranty period

Asset Acquired date OR Installed date

Important Notes

If no Installed Date is saved on the asset, the Acquired Date will be used (if available) to calculate the warranty status and expiry date.
If the Installed/Acquired date information is not captured on the asset, the warranty status and expiry date cannot be calculated.

Viewing the Warranty Status and Expiry Date of an asset

When the requisite asset warranty information has been added, the calculated status of an asset will display as follows:

Where the expiry date has not been reached, a status of In Warranty will display in green text, followed by the asset's expiry date.
Where the expiry date has passed, a status of Out of Warranty will display in red text, followed by the asset's expiry date.

The warranty status and warranty expiry date display when viewing the details of an asset.

Asset Details - Asset In Warranty

Asset Details - Asset Out of Warranty

Quotes

The warranty status and warranty expiry date display when raising and viewing quotes for assets.

Quote Creation

Quote Details - Asset In Warranty

Quote Details - Asset Out of Warranty

Work Orders

The warranty status and warranty expiry date display when raising and viewing work orders for assets, and on the job details screen.

Work Order creation

Job Details - Asset In Warranty

Job Details - Asset Out of Warranty

Planned Jobs

The warranty status and warranty expiry date display on the job details screen for all jobs in an Asset Job Plan.
